We silver solder the a knurled 850 axle shaft into the bushing in the 128 axle half.
The boot and seal can be changed by heating the solder joint, disassembling the axle, and
resolderring after changing the boot.
This is a very strong axle. It can handle lots of torque. Ready to install in your 850 for
$475 each side with new CV joint..
$50 less if you want a good used CV joint in place of a new one.
send in a pair of 850 axles with good sealing surface at the boot end and a good set
of 128 or X1/9 axles and/or hubs and receive credit for good core parts.
$30 for the 850 axle, $80 for the 128 complete with good used CV joint of your choice, and
$20 for a good hub. We start with good quality used axles and CV joints. And we always
use new wheel bearings. You can specify new axles to begin with for the conversion at additional expense.
